Mackinac County Car Accident

A Mackinac County car accident has resulted in serious injuries for a young passenger of the car. The single-vehicle car accident happened on March 29, 2009 near Curtis. Police are still investigating the details. The driver was not injured, but the passenger was transported to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital with serious injuries.

I am very sorry this accident occurred. I hope that the passenger is able to experience a full and speedy recovery from all of his injuries.

When a passenger is injured in a single-car accident, the passenger can submit a claim for No Fault benefits through his own insurance, a parent or relative’s insurance if he lives with them, or through the insurance of the driver of the car. This allows the accident victim to collect benefits for medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, and all the other No Fault benefits.

In addition, a passenger may be entitled to sue the driver if his injuries are severe enough. Whether the injuries are sufficiently serious to allow him to file a lawsuit will depend on all the facts and circumstances of the accident, so it is necessary to speak to an experienced Michigan car accident lawyer about the accident.
